Extra information needs to be captured by the POS plugin for reporting and reconciliation. The data points below are in addition to information already recorded by WooCommerce, such as Cart items, tax, discounts, customer account, coupons etc.

Data Points:

  • Opening the register
    • User ID (ie: which cashier)
    • Store ID (ie: which store)
    • Starting float
  • Each sale
    • Payment method
    • Cash in
    • Cash out
    • Cash drops
  • Closing the register
    • Cash in drawer
    • Over / Under

If you can think of any more information which is relevant to your store please leave a comment.
