Could you maybe include an option to export the invoice to pdf? It would be much easier to print the PDF invoices with an iPad for example without an AirPrint Printer like now
QR code scanning might be also future-proof.

Is it possible to return an item through POS for a refund or exchanging with something else?
You can put negative numbers in the quantity field so the POS could handle returns that way. WooCommerce doesn’t handle negative tax and I’d have to check if WC puts stock back in .. but it is something I could work around.

At the moment variable products are separated into their variations so they can be added to cart in ‘one-click’, for example, in the image below: Ship Your Idea is a variable product, both variations are shown in the product list.
There are plans to allow different product views (eg: list, grid, flat, hierarchical) in the future, likely to come in the Pro Version 0.4.
Re: Safari & iOS. IndexedDB is (finally) being shipped with in Safari & iOS version 8 (expected in September). See http://caniuse.com/indexeddb.
It’s strange because at this moment I have 2 products with variation but no appears :-/ however each variation has his own SKU …
In the frontend shop, all variable product works fine …

So you have other (single) products that appear and it’s just the variations that don’t show? Or do you not get any products showing at all?
With support, it’s always best to use the support form provided because it attaches extra information I need to help you … otherwise I’m just guessing.

At the moment, all products appear in the POS regardless of the stock level. There is a setting for POS Only / Hide from POS coming in version 0.3.1: http://woopos.com.au/roadmap/version-0-3-1/
An overhaul of the filtering options is also planned for version 0.3.3, I imagine this could include an option for filtering by stock.

If you still having problem after the release of version 0.3.1 please use the support form provided in the POS … the support form contains some extra information I need to help, otherwise I’m just guessing.
In buyer search field when i enter 2 characters it begins the search. How can i change that? I would like it to start searching after i enter 4 characters. The solution is probably in pos.min.js and in keyUp or something like that. I was working on finding the solution for a whole day but i am not much closer to finding it.

Disclaimer: this is going to change with the next release. At some stage in the future there will likely be a setting in the admin area for this.
Thanks! That is an added level of security in my case, to prevent accidental guessing of special codes that i intend to give to my customers. I use this pos terminal like an on-line inventory listing for multiple clients. One more thing it can be used for :)

I would also like to see this, maybe a print request with nothing on the print visibly.
It would be nice if there were categories shown. For example, if one has 1000 products in his store in 10 categories and a buyer wants a few products from the same category, why would he scroll down and change page after page to find those when he just could search within the same category. Is there an easy way to show categories?
Another idea. Lots of stores use scanners or codes to do the invintory, possibly this is a good add on for a Mobil app.
Can i change sorting of products? I would like to sort by category instead of sorting by product name.
Can this be done? Sort by tag, category,… Could be that pos logic only imports product name, price and stock.

I’m highly interested in the Pro version of your POS System but I have a few questions
1. Can this be used in a restaurant?
2. Can I add a way to make notes or make it so I can customize an order. For example if they order a taco but don’t onions. I can just put No onions.
2. Ability to create a customer database, and send them an email or text message when having a special/sales.
3. Can I take inventory with your system?
4. What Credit card payment system can I use?
5. Can I take cash orders?
6. Can i add my logo on the POS System?
If you have an existing WooCommerce online store, the best thing to do is download the free plugin and see if it suits your needs: http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-pos/
If you don’t already have an operation WooCommerce website then this plugin is probably not for you. Over time I will develop WooCommerce POS to be functionally similar to Vend or Shopify POS .. but it’s in the early stages of development at the moment.

How can i add username to order confirmation e-mail? The one that is actualy disabled by default in pos. All i get is order number and empty lines for name, billing address and shipping address.
I’m sorry, I don’t understand the question. I believe you are looking to customise the admin emails which are disabled by default? If so, I am not providing support for that at this time. In the future I will add settings for admin emails.
Thank you. I meant to change e-mail confirmation that i get when an order is placed by a customer. There is no customer name, that field is simply left blank. There is order number # and then comma on the place where there should be customer name.

How can i disable Guest in POS? If someone purchases as a guest, i have less items in inventory list, and sometimes i won’t know who bought them. I have a pre-made list of usernames of buyers and there is no need for guest account in my case.
The order has to be under a username or Guest (user_id = 0). You should be able to search in the POS and select the username you need?
I’m interessted in the plugin but i’m running 2 woocommerce shops and would like too sell the products of those two shops in an new physical store. For this i want too use the POS. Is there some way too combine the two stores in one POS?
Hi Patrick, combining two different WooCommerce stores into one POS is not really possible because of the potential clash of product ids. Also, if the cart contains products from both stores which store does the order go to? There are just too many problems with combining two stores.
The closest you could get is import all products from Store A into Store B and the using ‘POS Only’ setting to hide the extra products.
Where can i change default tabs filtering? I would like to filter by categories, and to add one more tab.

Integration with Paypal’s card reader would be good. Also authorisation for discount. End of day’s sales report would be good too.

Hi, i tried everything and can’t get this to work?! I need to change default user, guest, to logged in user, to prevent accidental orders, and that logged in user can order without entering his code.
I found files which are used to define and control default user : /public/views/checkout.php ; /public/includes/pos-template-hooks.php ; /public/includes/class-pos-ajax.php .
Is there a way to, at least, disable default user (guest), to force logged in user to enter his code? … and if he doesn’t, he will not not be able to place an order.
I’ve just released version 0.4 which includes an option to set the cashier as the default customer.
Woocommrce POS card reader would be the best. I want to switch from magento to woocommerce and woocommrce POS as it’s 100% more user friendly
In certain cases product image 90×90 is not big enough. How to add a popup image for the product, the default image from woocommerce. I know how to implement the effect on hower or lightbox when clicked but i dont know how to trigger the effect. Can you point me to the files to be changed or give an advice which lines of code to use. I am sure im not the only one who would like to implement this, as this can be useful.
Hi, nice project. As a field-salesman i wonder. Has the idéa of creating customers with invoice and full contact info crossed your mind? Like i’m at a customer, selling my things. Instead of going on the computer. Letting them press ok and getting a invoice with complete info on email. Just like if they was on our homepage but here i just put the produkt in the “bag” and they fill in the company name, adress, contact, email etc.
Might be overkill if i just do the same on a e.g. android touchscreen directly on our home page.
But! i can see easier sales, and faster with this plugin. Ofcourse i will need to go pro.
As I can tell, right now you only get a recipe with the name.

Just a few thoughts //
-Our orders are all based on using a customer’s measurements – annual updates are done, sometimes more often.
-Sometimes remakes happen.
-We add an image / pdf + have their history in each customer profile.
-Sometimes we need to mark a customer profile or order for review by a specific team member
-all orders have a status and it would be amazing if customers could check it online with their last name + some other variable.
We have 1/3 of our inventory available through the ecommerce site. Since we do a lot of vintage/deadstock/1 of a kind — not everything gets put into inventory before it goes on the sales floor. Our current POS works quite well for stand alone and we have 1 items that we use for untenured stock where we make a note about what we sold.

Hi Leo, the lifetime license was only available for a limited time to early adopters … they took a risk on beta software and helped fund it’s development, so they get lifetime updates as a reward.
All future licenses will include 1 year of updates and support, this keeps the ongoing support and development of the plugin viable. The pricing of WooCommerce POS will stick close to the pricing of similar plugins on WooThemes.

Is it possible to take multiple payments for one order? Such as splitting part with cash and half with credit. I have looked for the answer to this, but no one seems to be asking this question.
WooThemes have very recently released a plugin call WooCommerce Deposits – http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-deposits/ – this seems to offer split payments.
I haven’t tested this plugin at all but it is likely the best bet for split payments going forward.
I just wonder how well it will work with WooPOS? I got the COGS plugin, but had to modify WooPOS to trigger the call during payment processing for it.
I should add that I am not necessarily recommending this plugin.
Split payments has been a requested feature, I’m not too sure how to do it at the moment because WooCommerce payment gateways have been designed to process the entire order at once.
I haven’t had a good look at the Deposits plugin yet but it may offer a way to split payments, or at least offer direction on a ‘WooCommerce way’ to split payments.
We have been using http://www.codebuffalo.com/ deposit plugin with 100% success.

WooCommerce POS uses the WC REST API to create orders*. The API is very new but over time I would expect most third party plugins to support API actions.
If the COGS trigger is not being called during an order creation you should contact the developer and ask them to support the API.

Request: Would like to have the ability to browse products using category tree.
Bug: POS shows even the product variations that I have not created. It takes all the Attributes that are listed under the products Attributes. It should show only the variations that I have created under the product.
I attached an image where you see that it shows the three variations under the product as it should, but the drop-down list and the list on main product has all the Attributes listed.
I’m making some changes to the variations for version 0.4.2 which will fix that issue.

Would like to have an option to see “price without tax” on reciept’s footer.
So it would be:
1. Cart Subtotal (sum of all the products in the cart)
5. Sum Without tax (maybe this can be an option to switch on from settings, since it is required in my country on invoices)
6. Tax (taxes should be calculated from discounted price + shipping + fees)
1) – Can you add in some text fields for the Customer’s name, Address, Phone, and email address ?

this is a great plugin but I use WooCommerce Product Addons on a lot of
my products due to the large amounts of variations I have (some over
200) and would like to use your plugin but on testing found that it
doesn’t recognize the addons only variations.

This is something I will certainly look at after version 1.0, but the first priority is the core POS features such as coupons, refunds, reports, offline etc.
Support for third party plugins like Product Addons is several months away at least.
I am interested in your product and have a question about the functionality. I have several Woocommerce stores because each product is different in nature and has its own website. It is possible to link all those together into one POS system? I see your pro version has a feature that says something about multiple stores, but I wasn’t sure if that was the same as what I am looking for. I am excited about the idea of your product and how simple it is and hope I can make it work for what I need.
Hi Cassandra, the POS works with one WooCommerce database so it would not work across several sites. What you really need is a WordPress multisite with one master inventory and then your sites would be subset of the master inventory … unfortunately, AFAIK, no solution like this exists :(
Modifiers…integrate Gravity Forms product modiefiers. This might work, I can’t tell but the ability to add modifiers opens it up to resaurants.
Hello, what I’m doing for a work around, (pizza toppings+half+whole) is making the pizza sizes variable product. Also, the pizza toppings as a POS only product. If I make them a variable product, I can then price the toppings per the size of the pizza and the layout the customer wants. I don’t know if that solves your problem, but it has helped mine. And this is also for anyone else looking for a solution to this.

terminal to charge cc’s and currently I am marking everything cash and

system and keep record of expiration and balances with pen and paper.
2.) I wish your POS had a partial payment option. (It would be nice
to be able place a hold on a cart and come back to it later. Partial
payment and Cart Save are close to the same thing, right?)

controls the register exclusively until their shift ends, we cash-out
register and turn it over to the employee in charge of closing. I pay a
2% commission to each employee for their sales as a bonus and it’s not
easy keeping track of total sales by ‘x’ employee. 3.) I would like to
be able keep track in the POS which employee made the sale (and to which
I have setup a webserver in my clothes store to host the POS so that I can
access it remotely. I have run into a problem that should be an easy
fix. Making a backup of my products and later importing them has proven
more than difficult. All standard products import fine, variable products
not so well. 4.) It is very important that I have an easy, and reliable backup
method. My database has more that 500 products and 200 of those have
variables like size, color, and material.

You can search by id if you use prefixes, please see: http://woopos.com.au/docs/products/product-searching-filtering/ for some examples.
So, for the id above you could search for ‘id:16220’. If you wanted multiple orders you could do ‘id:16220|id:16230’ etc.
Some improvements to search will be coming in version 0.5. I will certainly add id as one of the default fields for all searches.

When a client calls in about an order it’s
easier to understand numbers than letters if they have a deep accent. This is
the MOST helpful for more people than you think.
This would be really useful…. I am also looking to search by “Company Name” – because I am working with a Business-to-Business store and so their customer records are all by company name
I agree phone # search is a really basic necessary way to look up your customers. It’s embarrassing to have to ask your customers name when they remember yours.
7. NEW SALE FROM CLIENT LIST….
“New Sale” button on client list, for creating a
new cart with them as the customer

8. CUSTOM LINKS….
Allow Custom Links for business that need an

If a Clear All Local Data button is added it would go on the Support page. I’ll have to see if this is possible for a future release … it’s a little more tricky than clearing products, orders etc separately due to the IndexedDB API.
Thank you, I was able to add links just fine, i can even remove items. However, I want to remove the “WP Dashboard” link and I cant seem to figure out how. That is the only link I really want to remove, i removed all the other as test.
Question: Is clearing each item (products, orders, etc..) separately through the support page, the same process as the “Clear All Local Data” button? Do they accomplish the same task? I ask because, I want a limited cashier at my store to be able to clear data (fix issues) without letting them go to the WP Admin menu.
An example for removing a menu item is on that wiki page, just swap ‘coupons’ for ‘wordpress’.
The clear buttons on the support page are the equivalent of a mysql ‘flush’, the Clear All Local Data is the equivalent of a mysql ‘drop’. I will look into adding more tools on the Support page for future versions.

WooCommerce POS uses the WooCommerce REST API (http://woothemes.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs/). This API is still fairly new and a lot of plugins are not compatible with it yet. Over time this will improve and something like you suggest above will be possible.
After version 1.0 I will reach out to popular third party plugins and work with them to integrate their plugins with the API and WooCommerce POS.

This should be possible via the Completed Order Status setting in WP Admin > POS > Settings > Checkout

That is a WordPress/WooCommerce issue. WooCommerce POS does not create the account, it just passes the data to the WC REST API.
If an order is marked as “Need Payment” make a button that will allow you to pay the order. Right now I have to go through Woocommerce to pay it.

Hi, you can create a new customer by clicking on the green + button, or by clicking on Guest (they both open the same modal window). If you do not see the green button please make sure your Pro license is activated.
Hi! Great plugin. Could you please make this plugin work when the WooCommerce Pre-orders plugin by WooThemes is also activated? When both plugins are activated, the POS plugin gives an internal server error message and does not work properly (latest wordpress, woocommerce and php versins installed). It will be very useful to be able to have both plugins work at the same time, to be able to take pre-orders on non-existing products and to be able to sell products that are already on sale. would love the ability for POS only to be default. I keep uploading new products via WooProducts plugin and forgetting to check the draft button and then an ugly, undetailed initial product gets published to my website. Most products will be POS only in my database.

Nice plugin and very useful. Is there any option where customer can use this interface to buy the products. I like the Ajax one page product listing page and adding it to cart. .
WooCommerce POS is not currently suitable for use by customers because of potential security problems. However, I have emailed you some suggestions if you wanted to try and open the POS to customers.
